The following are the posted site usage guidelines for this server. Violation of an of the following guidelines can result in account removal and possible legal action.

Intent: What These Servers Are For

These servers are for the pagan community to use to gather and discuss not only paganism but their every day lives or just to relax in an environment that is pagan friendly. All faiths are welcome (except for hate groups/religions), but the pagan beliefs are the norm. At no time will the concepts of non-pagan religions be introduced or discussed within the chat servers or message boards. Generalized conversation is allowable as long as all present are in agreement to generalized discussion

Any debates concerning any other religion than paganism will be moved into the areas that are designed for debate .

For those of you who classify yourself as christian pagans/witches, this does not allow for you to discuss any concept of your beliefs that are based on another form of religion other than paganism.

This is not censorship, this is an effort to provide the online pagan community their own place without having to wade through material that does not concern them. If you disagree with this concept, it is suggested you find other servers to use.

Part 1: Account Creation

Users may not use the account of anyone else.

Anyone may set up an account, except:

• Those under the age of 13
  
• Members of a Hate Group
  
• Members of a Hate Religion
  

When signing up for an account you must provide:

• Your real e-mail address
  

All users must have an account to use the interactive areas. You only have to register once and will get access to both the chat rooms and message boards.

WPR reserves the right to deny an account to anyone at any time for any reason.

Part 2: General Chat room and Message Board Conduct

The following will not be tolerated in the servers of Witch/Pagan Resources:

• Bypassing the automatic censoring program by intentionally misspelling slurs or vulgarities
  
• Communication which condones the use or activity of illegal drugs and substances
  
• Cloning (i.e. attempting to impersonate another user)
  
• Cyber-Covens
  
• Cyber-Sex
  
• Disruption of chat with vulgar language and abusiveness
  
• Graphic discussion or images of death, murder, or gore
  
• Graphic discussion or images of sexual activities and expletives
  
• Hate speech
  
• Intolerance of "Pagan" religious views and ethics
  
• Posting of URLs (Website Addresses)
  
• Proselytizing (i.e. attempting to convert users to a particular religion or belief)
  
• Role-Playing (i.e. chatting while in the "persona" of a Vampire, Werewolf, Elf, Immortal, etc.)
  
• Spell Trading.
  
• Strong vulgar language and expletives
  
• Teaching of any sort to a Minor (a user under the age of 18, see below)
  
• Threats to another user or to the WPR Pages and Chat room Servers
  
• Transmission of text or images so large that it interferes with the communication of others or repeating text ("Spam")
  
• Unwanted harassment of other users, including the use of racial, sexual, and religious slurs and vulgarities
  
• Use of Lazy Internet Shorthand (i.e. how long u have been a pagan 4 u dont have 2 answer)

Amendment : We have also removed the restrictions on teaching. Teach at your own risk, the Witch/Pagan Resources (WPR) will not be liable for misinformation or false information provided by the visitors of the site. If we receive complaints about blatant misinformation or god like complexes that arise from teaching situations, the person(s) in question will come under scrutiny, and if the complaints are valid, the person(s) will be removed. As with all forms of teachings, teaching of minors is prohibited.

Please be advised that all activity and messages, both public and private, are recorded and reviewed on a daily basis. If that makes you uncomfortable, we invite you to take advantage of one of the many other chat rooms on the web.

Teenagers:
No one may engage in any sort of teaching to anyone under the age of 18.
There are absolutely no exceptions to these rules.

Amendment: Teenagers are now considered part of the "general public" and are no longer required to move to their own specialized chat room after a certain number is reached. This does not, however, lift the other restrictions listed above.

If a user violates any of the above conditions, they may be asked to leave by a Moderator or Owner. Failure to comply immediately with such a request will result in forced expulsion from the servers. Repeated violations may result in account deletion (or banning), and notification of your Internet Service Provider of your behavior. This, in turn, may result in being dropped as a customer by your ISP, and if you are a college student, could result in your being expelled from school. Please also be advised that if a Hate Crime is committed on the server, the Owners and Moderators will cooperate fully with federal, state, and local authorities to prosecute and obtain a conviction.

Amendment: Section Dealing with Freedom of Speech, Democracy, Expansion on General Server Conduct and Enforcement of Ownership.

Part 3: Freedom of Speech

There is no such thing as freedom of speech within these servers. Due to the mass amounts of people who do not understand the difference between freedom of speech and abuse of speech, this has been turned into a privilege, not a right, within these servers.

At any given time, the owners and moderators do have the right to censor individuals who are abusing the privilege of freedom of speech. Since this is a privately owned website, you have no rights other than the privileges the owners grant to you. If you show the maturity, your standard rights will be allowed in the form of privileges. First sign of abuse, and those privileges will be revoked. This is not debatable.

Part 4: Democracy

This site is not a democracy, it is the dictatorship and the owners are the leaders. They cannot be impeached, overthrown or killed off. The moderators act with the consent of the owners to enforce these guidelines. If there is an attempt to revolt, mutiny or form a hostile takeover, you will lose. Any attempts to cause dissension within these servers will be seen as a violation of these guidelines and harassment. It will be reported to your ISP for action.

Part 5: Expansion of Server Conduct.

If you do not show the ability to fit within this community environment, and complaints are filed against you, your presence will be deemed as counter productive and you will be removed. It is suggested that you treat everyone as equals, and show no favoritism to any select individuals. The better you fit into this community, the more valuable you are as a member.

Part 6: Violation of Personal Privacy

Posting of private communications even in the form of quoting to a public form is unacceptable. This is to include communications via AIM, E-Mail, Yahoo Messenger, ICQ or any other communication tool that two or more users can hold conversations they expect to be private. Any material in violation of this guideline will be removed, and the one responsible for the violation of privacy will be removed.

Amendment: If you choose to act like a tool to the users moderators or owners of the Witch/Pagan Resources, the owners reserve the right to use your communications as a teaching tool. Play nice or we'll make you infamous

Part 7: Enforcement of Ownership

The bottom line is that these servers are owned and operated by two individuals. Their word is law, and these servers are an extension of their home. You will behave in a manner that is respectable within these servers at all times. The inability to do so will be met with the same courtesy you show, and your removal can extend to your internet service provider account. Each internet company has specific guidelines on what their services can and can not be used for. If you are in violation of those guidelines, the owners of this site will not hesitate to use those same guidelines in requesting that your internet access be terminated.

Your use of these servers is not a right. You can be removed at any time, for any reason, or for no reason. If you act in a manner that is productive to the community, you will never have a problem.

Part 8: The Owners

The Owners might ask for your age, your gender and your location for survey purposes. If you do not wish to give this information, politely inform them of this. They are the only ones allowed to ask for this information in the active room, since in the past, all visitors were asking for this information as soon as they settled in the room, and it quickly became a problem.

It is strongly urged that you do not attempt to challenge the authority of the Owners, as you will lose such a challenge.

The Owners of Witch & Pagan Resources (WPR) reserve all rights to any text displayed on their page. By posting ant material, the User surrenders all rights in regards to copyright or reposting of that text to the Owners of WPR.

Part 8: Site Communications (Newsletters)

We reserve the right to over-ride your account setting to send out announcements we feel all users should receive. If you do not wish to receive any mailings what so ever then do not register or if you are registered please send an e-mail to us requesting the removal of your account. Include your account name or your e-mail will be ignored since we will not search for your account based on an e-mail address alone.

Keep in mind that this is a legally binding agreement. If you accept the agreement, you will be held accountable for your actions. This agreement is subject to change without notice at any given time. The WPR reserves the right to terminate services to individuals without notice. This site is not a business or organization, it is a privately owned and operated website and will be treated as such by the owners.
